Notice of Proposed Variation (No.2) of the Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019
The proposed draft Variation (No. 2) will give effect to the Core Strategy of the Meath County Development Plan 2013-2019 and in particular objectives CS OBJ 2, 3 and 5 therein and also to objective ED OBJ 2 contained in the Economic Strategy. The proposed draft Variation (No. 2) seeks to introduce land use zoning objectives and an order of priority into the Meath County Development Plan 2013–2019, which will manage the release of residential and employment lands for 34 no. centres / group of centres across the county.
This includes the 5 no. centres/group of centres which will retain their existing Local Area Plans:-
- Drogheda Environs
The 29 no. centres listed below, for which this draft Variation (No. 2) proposes to incorporate development objectives for into the Meath County Development Plan 2013 – 2019, as their respective Local Area Plans are not being retained.
The proposed draft Variation (No. 2) will include proposed written statements, development objectives and land use zoning objective maps for each of the following development settlements:

Written submissions or observations should be addressed and marked “Proposed Draft Variation (No. 2) to MCDP 2013-2019” and submitted to the Planning Department, Meath County Council, Abbey Mall, Abbey Road, Navan, Co. Meath before Friday, 24th January 2014 inclusive. Submissions or observations must be received by 4.00p.m. on Friday, 24th January 2014.
